Abstract

This scientific article is devoted to the optimization of a 500 kV high-voltage power line, taking into account the climatic characteristics of Turkmenistan. As a result of the research, it was found that with a nominal line voltage of 500 kV under standard weather conditions, the load losses were 11.45 MW, the corona losses were 0.76 MW and the total power losses were 12.21 MW, in dry snow, corona losses amounted to 2.98 MW, and total power losses amounted to 14.43 MW; in rainy weather, corona losses amounted to 9.76 MW, total power losses amounted to 21.21 MW, and during frosts, corona losses amounted to 26.02 MW, total power losses amounted to 37.47 MW. For this reason, to reduce power losses in the line Mary PPS – Serdar 500 kV for P=0.2Pnat value, it is recommended to keep the voltage at 1.05 Unom in standard weather conditions, at Unom value in dry snow, and at 0.95Unom in rain and frost.
